Scripture For This Week
I want to try and remember to post the scripture early in the week so you can read ahead and comment on it if you like.
We are in chapter 3 of the Gospel of Mark. I am going to skip over verses 13-19a. This is the calling of the 12 disciples. I hope you will read over that. What we will deal with in worship this week are verses 19b-35.
In the text we read about Jesus and his family and another conflict between Jesus and the religious authorities. Feel free to post and questions or comments.

You're giving us homework??!! :)
What's the deal with this new Sunday School class that will be in the evening? Anyone know? I think it was called "Lost & Found?"

Here is all the info on the new evening class. We will also be starting a new class for young adults. E-mail me at pastorwill@cometogetheraustin.org if you are interested in that. I believe it will meet after the service on Sunday evenings.
Come join the new alternative Sunday school class on Sunday evenings, " lost and found ". We will meet in room A 203 at 5:00 each Sunday beginning September 19. First meeting is a pot luck to get to know each other. If you are involved with an exisiting class on Sunday mornings, please continue with them and visit the lost and found when you can, everyone will always be welcome. This will be a fun and semi-structured class -centering on community, outreach, spirituality, study, and being a faithful withness of Jesus Christ.
